Postpartum is forever.
Hi, I’m Jimena And I’m really glad you’re here.
I’m a mama, holistic prenatal and postnatal nutritionist, and certified postpartum doula. But more than titles, I’m a woman who has been shaped by her own healing, by motherhood, and by learning how to mother without a village.
I became a mother in a country that is not my own. Far from family. Far from the kind of community that knows how to hold a new mother without asking her to explain what she needs. That experience alone changed me, but motherhood had even more to teach.
For many years before becoming a mother, I felt disconnected from my body. Hormonal birth control, dismissed symptoms, and being told that everything was “normal” left me feeling unheard and out of alignment. Instead of accepting that as my truth, I chose curiosity. I turned toward holistic and ancestral wisdom, and slowly, my body began to feel like home again.
Then my son, Noah, was born.
Motherhood cracked me open. It revealed how deeply our society fails to support women as they cross the threshold into motherhood. We celebrate birth, but often abandon mothers shortly after.
When Noah was two, he experienced a medical emergency that shook my entire system. In the aftermath, I found myself in deep maternal burnout. My body was inflamed, my digestion was compromised, and my nervous system never felt safe. I was living in survival mode, caring for everyone else while quietly falling apart.
Healing did not happen overnight. It came slowly and gently. Through deep nourishment. Through nervous system repair. Through hormonal support. And through learning to mother myself alongside my child.
That season planted a truth so deeply in my bones that it now guides everything I do:
If mothers are the roots of our society, we must learn how to care for them better.
This is why I believe postpartum is not a phase.
Postpartum is forever.
Postpartum lives in the body, in the nervous system, in the way we hold stress, nourishment, rest, and responsibility. It lives in the years after birth, not just the first weeks. And yet, so many mothers are left to navigate this alone.
Today, my work is devoted to supporting mothers long after the newborn phase ends. New mamas. Toddler mamas. Modern mamas who are holding more than they were ever meant to carry alone.
My work is rooted in holistic and ancestral wisdom and always centers the mother. I weave together nourishment, herbal support, traditional postpartum practices, bodywork, and energetic care to help mothers feel safe, seen, and supported as they heal and grow.
This space is an extension of that work.
Here, I’ll share reflections on motherhood, nourishment, nervous system health, postpartum care, and what it truly means to tend to the roots. This is not a space for hustle or perfection. It’s a space for honesty, slowness, and remembering.
If you’re here, you’re not alone.
You never were.
Thank you for being here, and for walking alongside me.
xo
Jimena
